Who are we?
The Student Council of the University of Aruba (SUA) or “Studentenraad van de Universiteit van Aruba” serves as the voice of every student of the University of Aruba (UA). It is our utmost priority to defend the interests of every student and to help students individually and collectively in any way we can and to the best of our abilities. We promote unity within the University of Aruba, among faculties, and among students. Therefore, our slogan shares our vision of a “UA Unified.” We also promote different sports and activities at the university to encourage students to stay engaged in after-school programs and extracurricular activities.

The opportunity is also used to bring forth any other suggestions or concerns that students may have.
Objectives
- The submission of important matters of the students of the university.
- The ability to promote openness and transparency and consultation within the university.
- To guard against discrimination of students.
- To represent the interests of the students of the university.
Meetings
Most SUA meetings are open to students. In our meetings, we discuss any issues, concerns or problems that may be present and seek possible solutions and the best way to address these issues. Any board member is allowed to add an extra talking point to the meeting. Students joining the meeting are also allowed to add extra talking points to be discussed during the meeting. Every meeting covers different subjects as SUA continuously works on new projects.
Besides our regular SUA meetings, we also meet with other organizations in relation to any problems or new projects we are working on at the moment.
Meeting dates, the location, and upcoming activities are set by the incoming Board and are announced by email.
You are welcome to join us at our open meetings. To find out when these meetings are held just stay up to date with our most recent events, our Facebook page, or send us an email at sua@ua.aw.
