Bye Bye Covid
Investment Opportunities and Risks on Aruba and Worldwide
Global impact of Covid on the economy has been severe, but not all sectors and countries have been affected in the same manner. In fact, some sectors and countries have even benefitted from the crisis and from the unparalleled support that was provided by government authorities. Aruba was among the countries hardest hit because of its dependence on the tourism sector. We manage to get through however, partially because of the international support. Recently the prospects for the Aruban economy are rapidly improving as the US is reopening and the American economy will have some very good quarters ahead. The lecture will give an overview on where the Aruban economy stands right now, on its prospects, and the development of asset prices. The lecture will then deal with the bigger picture of how the Aruban economy is affected by global developments, its prospects, developments on financial markets and a short overview of some promising investment opportunities and risks. The lecture is offered by AISCUA in conjunction with the FEF and CLL.
