Aruba Circular Economy Foundation (ACEF) and the University of Aruba’s Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL), in collaboration with Curacao Donut Economy (CDE), invite you to the culminating session of our webinar series. This session will focus on integrating sustainable economic models within island environments, specifically delving into the donut economy, a revolutionary concept aimed at enhancing Aruba’s well-being.
Speaker>Dr. Juan-Carlos Goilo
born and residing in Curaçao, is a visionary co-founder of the Curaçao Donut Economy and a forward thinker in social change. Recently, he successfully defended his PhD dissertation on “Information Actors Beyond Modernity and Coloniality in Times of Climate Change: On the Making of Monitors for Sustainable Futures in Curaçao & Amsterdam (2019-2022).” Dr. Goilo is currently a circular innovation project lead at the City of Amsterdam, currently advising Curaçao on economic incentives for the inner city development.
